Give Back Initiative

In 2015, Jackie, on of the co-founders of Dreams, Delights & Heroes, started to notice that a lot of parents in her local Moms Facebook group were looking for gently used toys or recommendations for discounts on toys for their children for the holidays. Every post was usually met with generous parents offering to buy the requestor's children gifts for the holidays. Jackie thought - wouldn't it be great to set up a program in that was a little more streamlined that could connect requesters with willing donors? 

Jackie reached out to her community organizer friend, Ashley, with her idea and Ashley was immediately on board. The two of them developed a system and protocol so that they could keep the families requesting gifts anonymous and still keep everything organized.

Since 2015, Ashley and Jackie have been running the give back each year, and every year their hearts are filled with how generous people in their community are.

This year, the demand for gifts has been huge - with over 50 families and 113 children on our list!
